'Rainscape' is a mixed media painting on canvas by Mark Edmonds. It explores the subtlety of rain on water, the disturbance of surface tension. As regards to the wider triptych it represents a different time in the cycle of the storm.
This Painting is part of a triptych of seascapes painted in plastic resin and solvent. The paintings were created in order to draw attention to the current state of our oceans and the environment in general. Hopefully these images can be enjoyed for their aesthetic qualities as well as serve as a stark reminder that we must take better care of our planet.
Mark Edmonds graduated from Staffordshire University in 2013, since then he has been working professionally as an artist. Prior to attending higher education Mark had worked as an interior decorator and Photographer. He often uses the knowledge and skills he acquired in these professions to shape his artistic practice.
